At Julia Kay Design, we offer hand-addressed envelope calligraphy for weddings, special occasions, and celebrations worth putting pen to paper for. Each guest address is individually written by hand, giving every envelope its own character and charm.

Our calligraphy services combine the artistry of hand-lettering with the convenience of professionally printed return addressing. Every guest address is written by hand, creating an elegant, personal presentation without sacrificing the practicality of having your return address neatly printed on the back flap.

Your Envelopes, Our Calligraphy

$4.50 per envelope

Already purchased your envelopes? Send them our way, and we'll take care of the addressing.


This option includes:

  • Handwritten guest address calligraphy on your supplied envelopes
  • Printed return address on the back flap

Perfect for couples who have already purchased their invitations and envelopes but want to add a personal, handwritten finishing touch.

SET UP & ORDER MINIMUMS

A one-time $125 setup fee applies to all standalone calligraphy orders. This covers the preparation of your project, calligraphy materials and ink, and the dedicated time reserved on our design calendar.


A minimum of 25 envelopes or a $250 total project investment, including the setup fee, is required.


Postage, shipping, and any specialty envelope upgrades are not included in the pricing above.

This exclusive rate makes it easy to incorporate handwritten calligraphy into your existing stationery order, whether you're sending a handful of special invitations or addressing your entire guest list.

Our Calligraphy Process

1. TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROJECT


Complete our inquiry form with your event details, approximate envelope quantity, and whether you'll be supplying your own envelopes. We'll review the details and provide a personalized quote.

2. RESERVE YOUR SPOT


Once your project is confirmed, we'll reserve time on our calligraphy calendar. You'll provide your finalized guest address list and any necessary envelope details so we can prepare everything for lettering.

3. THE HANDWRITTEN DETAILS

Each guest address is carefully lettered by hand, one envelope at a time. Return addresses are professionally printed on the back flap to complete the look.

4. READY FOR THE MAILBOX


Once your envelopes are complete, they'll be packaged and prepared for delivery or shipment back to you, ready for your invitations to be assembled and mailed.

Calligraphy Turnaround Times

Because each envelope is individually addressed by hand, we take on a limited number of calligraphy projects at a time.

Please use the following as a guide when planning your stationery timeline.

25–50 envelopes: 2-3 weeks


51-100 envelopes: 3-4 weeks


101–150 envelopes: 4-5 weeks

151-200 envelopes: 5-6 weeks

201-250 envelope: 6-7 weeks


Rush orders are accepted on a project-by-project basis and will incur a rush fee.

Turnaround times begin once your project is confirmed, all required materials have been received, and your finalized address list has been submitted. Timelines are estimates and may vary based on current availability.

We recommend reaching out well in advance of your desired mailing date to secure space on our calendar.
