One important thing to note about adding wax seals to your wedding invitations is that they will most likely increase the amount of postage you need. I typically do not recommend that my clients put wax seals on the outside of their envelopes. I don't recommend this because it adds a bit of bulkiness to your invitation envelopes and can get caught in the machines that USPS uses. Even if you ask for your invitations to be hand-cancelled, there is a good chance they will still go through a machine.

If you want to use wax seals on the envelope, I recommend putting them on an inner envelope and then putting that whole envelope inside another, larger envelope. 

That being said, I like to recommend that my clients use wax seals on vellum wraps to also add a touch of texture to their invitation suite! ✨
