Yes, there are correct & incorrect ways to write out the dates! As a wedding stationery designer, nothing hurts more than seeing improper date format on wedding invitations. Below is my short, sweet, quick & cute guide for making sure the date format is correct on your wedding invitations.
Keep it short & sweet:

Get a 'lil fancy: 

April 8, 2024

***Do NOT include "th", "st" or "rd" in this format! 

Even though you would say "8th" in person, it is NOT grammatically

correct to include "th" in text.

Get really fancy:

Saturday, the eighth of April, two thousand twenty-four

***Yes. A hyphen is correct.
